The most common thicknesses of latex are 100 D, 90 D, 63 D. Mainly, latex is braided with polyester 75 D or 100 D. Latex can also be braided (twisted) with cotton thread and lurex thread. Braiding gives the rubber band strength and the necessary color.

Latex rubber is a rubber with very good elasticity without textile treatment, without braiding. Latex rubber is used for various purposes – especially in the sewing industry for bathing suits, sportswear, costumes for sports and dances, as well as underwear. Latex is elastic and soft, it does not make any noise, such as analogues, like polyurethane foam. Latex quickly takes its original shape, so products made of this material are quite wear-resistant and durable.

Latex, which is actively used in textile production, has many useful properties and is indispensable in the production of many household items.

The natural latex material is obtained from the white juice of the Hevea evergreen tree. Value of the material is very significant already at the initial stage, because the process of collection and its processing is painstaking and time-consuming.

The tree itself is very capricious, because the necessary milky juice will be released under certain weather conditions – it should be a warm tropical climate with high humidity, so today Thailand has been the main producer of natural latex for many years. And it is important to collect the juice exclusively at night, because the sun's rays make the received juice quickly thicken and solidify. The Hevea tree also has natural strong antiseptic properties.

The natural antibacterial properties of latex prevent the appearance of mold and moisture, and the appearance of ticks and other insects is excluded, so latex products are sterile and hygienic. The porous structure of latex promotes good air circulation, which allows the product to ventilate, not to absorb moisture and odors.
