How to choose yarn

30-10-2023
Yarn quality characterized by its strength, stretchability, elasticity, balance of twist, evenness, dyeing resistance and absence of defects. In order to preserve the appearance and properties of products, it is necessary that the threads correspond to the characteristics of the main material in terms of strength, stretchability, and shrinkage.

The appearance of the future product, its reliability and durability will depend on the quality and characteristics of the selected yarn. That's why you need to make a responsible choice and buy threads and yarn from proven companies with many years of experience and reliable manufacturing partners. Before buying, you should carefully study the main properties of the material: composition, thread thickness and length, weight, color.

It is recommended to take yarn and threads from the same batch to prevent small differences in tone. Please note that the more meters indicated in 100 g of yarn, the thinner it is and the product will be lighter. Thick yarn is perfect for textured and voluminous things. Also, you need to choose yarn for a specific product, and not the other way around.

Today, a large selection of threads and yarns of versatile composition, plain or dyed in different colors is offered.

One of the most popular threads is acrylic. Acrylic thread – synthetic, soft and pleasant to the touch. It is most often used for knitted things, which is especially actual in the autumn-winter period. Such a yarn will not warm as much as wool, but it will allow you to realize the most incredible ideas. If you want to get a warm and durable thing, pay attention to mixed threads.

Wool added to acrylic increases the performance and quality characteristics of the item; cotton is added to acrylic to improve hygienic properties; polyester gives acrylic resistance to moisture and increased strength; and viscose increases the elasticity and silkiness of products.
