Natural latex material is obtained from the white sap of the evergreen Hevea tree, which is native to South America. The value of the material at the initial stage is very important, because the process of collection and processing is laborious and time-consuming. The tree itself is very capricious, because the necessary milk juice may be released under certain weather conditions - it should be a warm tropical climate with high humidity, that is why today the main producer of natural latex for many years remains Thailand. Also, it is important to collect the juice only at night, because the sun's rays cause the resulting juice to thicken quickly and harden. In addition, the Hevea tree has strong antiseptic properties, because of these bacteria and microbes, in contact with the tree, simply die.
The natural antibacterial properties of latex prevent the appearance of mold and moisture, and the appearance of mites and other insects is excluded, that is why latex products are sterile and hygienic. The porous structure of latex promotes good air circulation, which allows the product to be ventilated, not absorb moisture and odors.
Latex is elastic and soft, it does not create any noise, unlike artificial counterparts like polyurethane foam. Latex quickly takes on its original shape, so products made of this material are quite durable and long-lasting.
